Under subcritical and supercritical conditions, the effects of temperature, pressure, and residence time on phenol removal rate were studied in batch and continuous reactors.
It was found that under the same conditions, the removal rate of phenol increased with the increase of the reaction temperature and pressure and the retention time. In a short retention time, the removal rate of phenol could reach over 96%.
Studies on phenol oxidation intermediates have demonstrated the oxidation thoroughness of this technology.
